About Popodeus

What is Popodeus?

Popodeus is a resource and fan-site for the online roleplaying game Popmundo. We keep track of many things in the game, anywhere from numerically analyzing the population, tracking game events and things we think that matters.
We also provide plenty of tools for you to enhance your gaming experience, for example Diary Analyzers, helper scripts for various interactions and screens and links to other sites having useful resources.

Why the silly name?

The name Popodeus is a word join (a portmanteau) of Popomundo + Photodeus. Popomundo is the original name of the game, which later was renamed into Popmundo (without the extra o). Photodeus.com is the photography site of the creator of Popodeus (Photodeus itself is a portmanteu too!)

We wanted to have a separate sitename for all Popmundo related things, instead of hosting stuff on a photography site to keep things cleanly separated.

Got questions, problems and ideas?

Help Is some tool not documented well enough? Ask for support from the community or the developers.

If you think something isn't working as it should, or know for sure that you've found a bug... then please tell! Even if we use our tools and scripts ourselves on almost a daily basis, there is always the chance we've missed some minor detail.

Got this killer idea that you think just needs to be implemented? Oh great! Unfortunately, right now we don't have time to receive suggestions for new ideas, cause our job queue is full.

Alanas Anikonis family tree This site's creator is currently known as Alanas Anikonis in the game. He is supposedly a brawling punk rocker trying to cause trouble whenever he gets the chance, but the older he grows, the more behaved he will become. Maybe....
One never knows with these tempered people who like to go on random rampages, just to be heard and seen.
Alanas is a second attempt in creating a character, taking a totally different approach to the previous one. As evident from the family tree graphic, the new way of life has handsomely paid off in great family success.

Cecil Jones

Some veteran players may know me better as the late Cecil Jones. He entered the world of Popmundo on April 20 in 2006. He gained fame not for his musical career, but because of the various Greasemonkey scripts, which included "Numeric Grades", "CEO tools" etc.

Cecil was put to eternal rest on April 28, 2008 after having had both voodoo powder and poison the previous day.

Hosting

This site is paid for with own money. Running a dedicated machine and sharing internet connection isn't all free. Right now sponsoring comes from advertisement (hopefully which you won't block for this website...), and from the gracious help from friends.
